Just plain chaos.

So for the last few weeks, I feel like our lives have just been chaotic... no sense of organization.  First of all, my purse got stolen a few weeks ago at Habitat ReStore when I was buying a laundry door & a bathroom cabinet. I set my purse down behind me when I was looking through some tiles and... gonzo.  :(  I really liked that purse and I also really happened to like the things inside that purse.  The lady who took it got my camera, my phone, my wallet, my car keys, my tape measures (which are very important when you're in the middle of a house remodel!), my aquaphor (which I cannot live without, but luckily is very replaceable), and some other odds-and-ends.  Well, I've taken care of replacing a few of the essentials but I still have lots to replace and little time to take care of that.  Until yesterday, my "wallet" was a cash envelope from the Credit Union and things were just strewn all over the place in an old purse I'm using.  Anyway, having no license, no car keys (Aaron & I are sharing a key to my car right now), no VIC card, etc. is making me feel so scattered.  Hopefully soon I will take the time to replace everything I lost.  Also, if you know me well, you know I'm semi-OCD about my house being clean.  Which is totally out the window when we spend all our time over at Harvard and neglect our poor apartment.  It's driving me bonkers.  Here are a few pictures to describe the chaos we are currently calling our life.  :)
The bed isn't made... which, before house renovations, probably
only happened 4 times since we got married.  And that pile is 3 loads
worth of laundry.  Usually I'm OCD about folding the clothes immediately
after the dryer buzzes so they don't get wrinkley. Luckily, painty T-shirts
and work shorts can get wrinkley and don't need to be ironed.  :)
We currently have 4 extra rugs laying around waiting for a home
at the new house.  And my floors haven't been vacuumed in 3 weeks.
And an Easter basket is still sitting on the table, halfway into July.
Our shoes are in piles.
Our guest bath tub is storage for house things.
I am constantly dirty. My poor car is now also constantly dirty,
since we track saw dust and paint chips everywhere we go.
Boxes of our summer clothes are still in boxes.  Our winter clothes are still
in our drawers and closets.  Really all we wear are work clothes anyway.
My hands have looked like this for the past 2 months.
There really is nail polish under there somewhere.
Our guest bed has also become a catch-all.
And there are paint samples e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.
Yep, I think I'm ready for my life to go back to normal!  :)
