Turkey Day 2013!!

I hope you all had a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving!!  Ours involved lots of good food with family, afternoon naps and building forts in the living room.  :)  It was perfect.
Enjoying a fire at Grandaddy Rick's & Mimi's!
Talking to Micah & Virginia since we couldn't be with them on Thanksgiving.
Hugs for Mimi!
And kisses for mommy!
My mom's side of the family went to the lake for Thanksgiving this year
and since we couldn't go we went to my parents' house for breakfast.
We missed the Duhan clan lots this year!!
Typical Davis face!  :)
The walking stage makes picture-taking much harder!  :)
Giggly boy!
Dinner at Papa & Grandmama's!
Helping set up the tree.
Building forts with daddy in the living room!
Sorry mom. No girls allowed.
Davis was sad when his fort fell over!

A little Thanksgiving coloring.
Facetime date with Aunt Eliza!
We're so thankful for all of God's blessings. And for time to be with family.

Thanksgiving 2012 Festivities

I love Thanksgiving.  :)  Every year, we wake up early to run the Greensboro Gobbler 5k at Country Park, where we see half of Greensboro... always fun to run into old friends!  And then we get to spend the rest of the day with Aaron's family & my family.  Here are some pictures from this year... but I don't have any pictures from the Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' house.
Bundled up... ready for the Gobbler!
Such a fun family tradition  :)
Apparently we like black & grey!
I love my family!

Gobble, Gobble, Gobblerrrr!

Thanksgiving means Greensboro Gobbler time!  :)  The Greensboro Gobbler is a 5k at Country Park on Thanksgiving morning that my family usually runs together.  It's a lot of fun & it makes me feel a little less guilty about all those calories I eat throughout the day!  One of my favorite things about the Gobbler is that I always see dozens of people I know but don't see often, since it's a fairly big event.  Here are some pictures from the Gobbler this year...
Team O'Hare/Riddle, pre-run
And we're off!

Team Riddle looks a little too excited here  :)

Aaron, me, Eliza, & Isaac finishing.
Now it's time for Thanksgiving food!!
I always enjoy running this as a family!  :)

Thankful for these memories...

Over Thanksgiving break, I was able to hang out with some friends that I've known since my childhood.  The weekend before Thanksgiving, I got coffee with Emily, Ciani, and Cara, my 3 closest friends from middle school.  Because we were in a special program at school, a group of about 20 of us literally had all our core classes together all 3 years of middle school... so we knew each other pretty well.  :)  I still keep up with Cara, Emily, and Ciani and we try to get together when we're all in Greensboro over holidays.  Our coffee dates usually end up being 5 hour dates that end when the coffee shop closes.  I always love getting to catch up with these wonderful ladies!!  They all have such exciting lives, traveling all over the world... but I'm thankful they'll make the trek back to Greensboro so I can see them, too.  :)

Aaron & I also got to hang out with Emily, Michael, Micah, and Turner over the break & it was so great to see them again!!

One of my favorite people ever!
Seeing friends from my childhood always makes me so happy.  It's one of the perks of living in Greensboro... I usually get to see them when they come back to visit their families.  :)
