Valentine's Day 2012

I love Valentine's Day.  It reminds me how much I have to be thankful for and all the wonderful people I have in my life who are blessings on a daily basis.  :)
My sweet valentine woke up early to make me breakfast!
Heart-shaped pancakes  :)
This was on my desk at work...
Along with this book for Baby Riddle from the O'Hare grandparents  :)
Aaron made me a yummmmmy dinner!
I love my Valentine!!
Pecan crusted chicken with goat cheese,
asparagus, and whipped sweet potatoes.
I'm so blessed with a Valentine who can cook!!  :)

And some fro-yo  :)
 And the greatest Valentine...
"The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."  -Zephaniah 3:17  :)

Lazy days.

There's not too many things I like more than days Aaron & I both have off when we don't have a long to-do list.  Recently, we both had the day off & we got to spend the day being lazy (reading) and playing golf...well, Aaron played golf, I watched & drove the cart.  :)
I could use days like that more often!  :)

Happy Anniversary!!

A few weeks ago, Aaron & I got to celebrate our 3 year anniversary by grilling out & cooking at our new home!  We hadn't actually moved in yet, but the kitchen was functional and we thought it would be fun to celebrate by cooking there.  It was really exciting to see all our hard work starting to pay off!
Date in a box  :)
We got to use the stove for baked potatoes...
and the grill for steak & veggies.
Thanks for these last 3 years Aaron!  I'm so thankful for you!  :)

Happy birthday Aaron Davis!

Today is my husband's 26th birthday!!  He's an amazing husband & I adore him.  :)  I just wanted to take the chance to tell him Happy Birthday and let him know that he's very loved.  We went to dinner at Ruth's Chris last night with his family to celebrate his birth & the birth of his twin brother Matt.  Here are some pictures.  :)
So glad Aaron & Matt were born & for the way Jeff & Marla raised them!

Adorable  :)  (Aaron's on the right)
Grandmama & Papa played a huge role in their lives, too  :)
They've always been stylish!  :)
So thankful for these twins!
I've known Aaron for 15 of his 26 years... so blessed!
All grown up!
Going to dinner to celebrate Aaron & Matt's birthday!

"It's about timeeeeeee!" -Mom

When Aaron & I originally bid on this house, we were hoping to close by Christmas.  Then the goal was Valentine's day.  Then March 21 (my birthday!).  Then it was just before my IEPs for the end of the year started, which was May 11.  Well, we finally closed on May 13 and I only had to miss 1 IEP meeting... a feat, considering I averaged about 4 meetings a day in the month of May!   Needless to say, we celebrated when we finally got the keys!  Aaron took me out for a nice dinner that night.  (I'm not gonna lie, this was our third "lets-go-celebrate-getting-a-house!" dinner we'd gone on... 1 when we won the bid, 1 when we locked our mortgage rate back at the beginning of March, and 1 when it was finally the real deal!)
And then that evening, we went over to Harvard Avenue (our house) after dinner & these were the lovely surprises we found...  :)
A balloon, flowers, and a card from Isaac & Caroline!
The note says "Congrats on the house!  "It's about timeeeeeeee" - Mom"
Cheerwines, Krispy Kreme Donuts, more flowers & our deck furniture from my family.  Perfect!
Thanks for being excited for us!
