38 weeks!

We're at 38 weeks... and I made it through Mars Hill week without going into labor!!  Aaron got home yesterday afternoon & it was a huge relief!  I didn't really feel like I was going to go into labor that early, but having Aaron 3 hours away still made me feel uneasy.  So, needless to say, I'm glad he's home!

Davis, you're now free to join us!  :)

37 Weeks = Full Term!

Our little man is officially full term today, which is a relief!  But Aaron leaves today... he's taking 80 8th graders on a missions trip to Mars Hill, about 3 hours away from Greensboro.  Don't worry, Davis knows he's not allowed to try to make an appearance until his daddy gets home next Saturday night!  :)  But after that, I'll be happy for him to come!! 

And Happy Father's day to Aaron!  I'm so thankful he's Davis's father... he's going to be an amazing daddy!

36 weeks!

Davis's due date is 4 weeks from today!!  

Aaron & I are getting really excited!  :)

35 weeks...and Beautiful Life!!

Yesterday was the 35 week mark and Davis weighs as much as a honeydew melon.  He's getting big!

...and his mama's getting big, too!

This weekend, I got to go to the Beautiful Life conference at my church with some of the ladies from my work and my Biblestudy girls and it was a lot of fun!  I also got to have lunch with Miss Katherine and 8-week-old Miss Caroline!!!  :)  It was so great to see them!!

34 Weeks!

Holy cow... how are there only ~6 weeks left?!  Seriously, this pregnancy is really flying by.  But that means we get to meet our little one soon!

It feels like Davis has been practicing his flip turns this week... he's gonna be a little swimmer!  :)

33 Weeks... and a Beach Weekend!

Davis is at 33 weeks now!!  We should get to meet our little guy in about 2 months and we can't wait!!

We also got to go on a last minute trip to the beach over the weekend!  The weather wasn't great but we had a great time anyways.  :)  It was so nice to just get to relax & have a quiet weekend with each other.  One night we went to Medieval Times and here are some pictures from that... 

I'm officially ready for summer!!  :)

32 weeks... and Mother's Day!

Yesterday Davis was 32 weeks.  :)  He's getting big!!

And you might have noticed behind me we have an unassembled crib now!  Yesterday I got home from the farmer's market & Aunt Lynne was at my house with a crib!  She found this convertible crib for $55 at a yard sale & it's in great condition.  It's exactly what I'd been looking for with a drawer under the crib, except that I'll need to paint it.  I was really excited.  Starting to feel more like a nursery!

It's this model except it doesn't have the dark wood at the top.

And today I got to celebrate my first unofficial Mother's Day.  :)  My sweet husband brought me some flowers & is taking me to dinner!

31 weeks!!

We're at 31 weeks now!

(+/-)9 weeks to go, so we're in the single digits countdown!  Accomplishment for this week: I (finally) went to Babies-R-Us and registered with lots of help from Meredith Showalter and the support of my mom and Marla!  Whew, so relieved to have that (almost) done...I had been dreading it off for weeks.   I still need to make some edits, but the really overwhelming part is done-zo!  :)  

30 weeks already?!

For some reason, thirty weeks sounds so much farther along to me than twenty-nine weeks!  Here's my 30-week baby bump... 

And last night Aunt Lynne brought us some Dr. Seuss books for Davis so now the bookshelves don't look quite as naked!

29 weeks!!

No, I'm not actually over 6 feet tall.

This week a friend of mine from high school, Jessica Middlebrook, gave us tons of baby boy clothes for 0-3 months from her little boys!  Little clothes and shoes are my favorites.  :)  Thanks Jessica!

Davis will be well dressed at least until he's 3+ months old!

28 weeks... Hello Third Trimester!

I can't believe we're already in the third trimester.  It feels like this pregnancy is starting to fly by!  We've still got a lot to do before Davis gets here but we're finally getting things checked off our to-do list.  :)

The bump was hiding under my dress...

oh, there it is!  

Last week while we were in Florida, Davis was extra wiggly one night.  He was pushed up against one side of my stomach so we would poke on that spot and he would kick us back.  Who knows, he might not have enjoyed all the poking... but it felt like he was playing with us & we enjoyed it!  :)

27 Weeks... and Easter!!

Well we're at 27 weeks, so this is our last week in the 2nd trimester!

Davis got these adorable shoes in the mail from "Aunt Emily" this weekend and I can't wait for him to wear them!!!!!

We also go to celebrate Easter with our families this weekend.  :)

26 Weeks!

24 weeks... and St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday was 24 weeks...  And St. Patrick's Day!

It feels like he's starting to do flips inside me!

24 weeks is when a baby is first able to survive outside of their mommy.  I'm definitely not wanting Davis to come anytime soon (!!) but if he does, at least he's got a fairly good chance of being ok.  :)  I'm relieved to be at 24+ weeks!

23 Weeks... and a Sleepover!

Today is 23 weeks!  :)

Aaron is on a middle school retreat this weekend so Aunt Eliza & Uncle Josh came over to my house Friday night for a sleepover!

It was a really fun weekend, but I'm so glad Aaron will be home tomorrow.  :)
